Douglas Hubble Bursary

The Douglas Hubble Travel Bursary is awarded jointly by the RCPCH and University of Birmingham every 2 years and will next be awarded in 2010*.

The award provides financial support for young paediatricians, or paediatric research workers below consultant status, to present scientific papers at meetings within Europe but outside the UK, or to visit institutions overseas to learn techniques or acquire experience, which would be of benefit to British paediatric practice.

Otto Wolf Lecture Series

The Otto Wolf Lecture Series is a joint venture between the UCL Institute of Child Health and Great Ormond Street Hospital and aims to provide a world-class Paediatric-related forum. Lectures are held on the 1st and 3rd Monday each month in the Kennedy Lecture theatre and are open to all.

APA President Elect: Election

Nominations are invited for the the position of President Elect of the Academic Paediatrics Associaation of Great Britain and Ireland. The successful candidate will serve as President Elect until November 2009 and then take over as President of the Association for an initial term of 3 years.
